Tim had called me later that day. I had never been happier to talk to him.

“We don’t hate each other, we made up,” I told him.

“How?”

“Um, well…” I paused, “I’m carrying his child now.”
“What?”

“Yeah,” I replied. “I don’t know what we’re going to do, but at least he supports me.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” he smiled. “I’m not going to school anymore. We’re leaving early.”

“..how early?”

“In two days.”

“Can I at least say good-bye to you in person before you leave me?”

“I don’t want to ruin what you and Chester just re-built. I’m too much of a threat to your relationship, and know that there’s a baby involved, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

I sighed. “I just want to see you before you leave. Please?”

“Okay.”

I drove to the house that was just a temporary home for Tim. Everywhere was temporary, and it must have been hard to change addresses so many times. Walking up the driveway, I noticed the small garage full of boxes of the family’s belongings.

“There’s my whole life in boxes,” a voice said in a chuckle. Turning around, I saw Tim. Smiling, I walked over to give him a friendly hug.

“I really am going to miss you,” I said, with my arms still wrapped around him.

“I will too. You’re my best friend.” I looked up at his eyes and blinked. He loved me, and I knew it, and I tried to give him everything he wanted, but it only ended up hurting me.

“Can you play me one last song?” I asked.

He smiled, “why not?” Getting out his guitar, we sat on his front steps and he played random chords, just in case the guitar needed tuning.

“Play me the last song you played on Friday.” He gave me a warm smile and started playing. My eyes started watering and I couldn’t look away from his beautiful sky blue eyes. After the song was done I couldn’t help but hug him. I felt his lips touch my hair but he forced himself not to kiss me. Realizing I was probably making it harder for him to leave this town, I decided it was time for me to go, and when I got up, he followed me.

He led me down his driveway, and I turned around, face-to-face with his eyes once again, his bangs brushed to the side covered up his left eye. I pushed the bangs away from his eyes and pulled a piece of paper out and slid it in his shirt pocket. “It’s my address. Write me sometime, Timmy.”

He smiled. “I will,”

“I’ll see you at your show, Mr. Rockstar.”  He looked down and blushed. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

“Bye, Timothy.” I smiled, walking back to my car.

“Bye, Kimm.” He said. His smile left and I could see the seriousness in his eyes. “I love you.”

It was a beautiful day. June was setting in, and the days felt so quick. One of these days in June would be my dad’s last, and I was full of fear. The day was nice and sunny, beautiful and warm. Nobody was home, except Brittany and I. I woke up, went to the bathroom to brush my hair. I went back in my room to see Brittany slumped on the mattress on my floor. It worried me.

“You okay?” I asked, walking into my room.

“Yah, I’m fine.” she said softly, hoping I would leave her.

“You don’t seem fine,” I said. I knew something was wrong. I just didn’t know.

“Nothing.” she said, with an almost fierce tone in her voice. I got the hint and walked out, leaving her alone. I heard the sound of a pen dropping on the floor as I walked down the stairs. But I didn’t give a second thought about it

“Brittany?”

“Yah?”

“You’re still up there. The sun is up.”

“So?” was her reply.

“Mum wants me to go pick up some things at the store. Do you want to go with? We could get something to eat. It’s almost noon, we could have lunch or something.”

“No, I’ll be fine. You can go.” Brittany said.

I cringed. “You sure?”

“Yes,” she said, rather sharply.

“Okay then,” I said, grabbing my keys, “Bye then. I’m going to the hospital, too. I’ll be back in a couple of hours, okay?”

“Bye, Kimm.” she said softly.
I made a short story about this a LONG time ago, and when I was in writing class, I started writing around the short story. I decided this summer that maybe I should finish it.

Basically what I did was took my life, and totally destroyed it. Most of the conflicts in this are completely fiction. Also, I have a few of my close friends as well as family in here, I hope they don't mind.
